Management

Mathew Walker

Chairman

Mathew is a businessman and founder of numerous public and private enterprises. Specialising in the technology and agricultural sectors, Mathew has served as Managing Director of his family livestock business for thirty years, which was sold to Australia’s largest beef cattle producer the Australian Agricultural Company Limited (ASX: AAC) in 2006, described by AAC at the time as "the world’s largest and most credentialed full blood herd outside of Japan and is viewed as Australia’s premier Wagyu Business".

In 2015 he Co-Founded the Stone Axe Pastoral Company, which was majority purchased by one of Australia’s largest private equity firms in 2018, for which he remains a director and substantial shareholder. In 2020 and 2021 Stone Axe Pastoral Company was honoured to be awarded Grand Champion of the Australian Wagyu Association’s Branded Beef Competition – the first time an entrant has been awarded back to back Grand Champion.

His varied personal business interests include Founding the iconic Dingo Brewing Company and Unicorn Productions, a film production company currently producing a movie based on the remarkable life of Indigenous Australian warrior, Pemulwuy.


James Robinson

Managing Director

Based in south east Asia, James seeks to leverage extensive capital markets and advisory experience developed during over 20 years with some of Australia’s leading funds management, corporate advisory and stockbroking firms.

His deep and established contact networks enable James to deliver outcomes which consistently outperform expectations.

James has been instrumental in the successful launch of multiple businesses, such as emerging Australian vanadium producer, Technology Metals Australia (ASX: TMT) which merged with Australian Vanadium Limited (ASX: AVL) in a $250 million transaction, and as Co-Founder of leading Australian Wagyu producer, the Stone Axe Pastoral Company.
